Band to Receive award

The Keystone Club Police Pipes and Drum Band will be receiving the Civic Endeavor Award at the annual dinner dance of the Gates Amita Club. The Band is being recognized for the many donated events they do through out the year from Military Funerals to assisting the local high schools with events. Tickets are $25 dollars and may be purchased by calling 247-6601. The event is Friday 5/9 at 6:30pm, The Diplomat Banquet Facility, 1956 Lyell Ave.

St. Patrick's Parade, Rochester, New York, 2008

With a contingent nearly a city block long and the Irish Citizen of the Year, our own Drum Major Brian O'Connor (Himself) to lead the way, the Gates Keystone Club Police Pipes and Drums marched their way into the hearts of the neary 60,000 parade spectators and to the judges award of "Best Pipe and Drum Band." The weather was somewhat cooperative this year; no lake effect snow. But chilly temps were offset by the warmth of the celebration and the roar of the crowd.

St. Patrick's Parade, Buffalo, New York, 2008

Once again the Gates Keystone Club Police Pipes and Drums braved the elements that Buffalo had to offer in winter and marched proudly down Delaware Street. The Judges were truly impressed with our band in full uniform; flags waving and music swaying. Ah, sure it was a beautiful sight and sweet sounding group of dedicated Keystoners. If you listen you can hear it still ... " when Irish eyes are smiling" Grand! The Buffalo crowd estimated at 80,000 to 100,000 spectators literally took your breath away with their applause and their cheering. And if that wasn't reward enough, the Judges selected us FIRST among all pipe and drum bands. What a weekend!

Rochester St. Patrick's Day Parade 2008

Saturday 3/15/08 stepping off at 12:30pm from East Ave and Alexander St. Our own Drum Major, Brian O'Connor, standing in at 6'9", 320 lbs, has been selected as the Irish Citizen of the year. Drum Major O'Connor is well known to the Community from local parades and events the Keystone Pipe Band plays at. The band will be performing at the Clarion Riverside Hotel 120 East Main St. after the parade.

We thank our loyal fans and supporters as we traveled many miles in 2007 sharing our musical talents. From The City of Buffalo New York, the City of Rochester, the City of Batavia, the City of Utica, Old Forge New York, Herkimer County New York, to the Villages of Churchville, Hilton, Spencerport, Holley and the Towns of Penfield, Gates, Chili, Kendall and Greece! We enjoyed visiting and meeting people from these awesome communities! we appreciate your friendships!
