Daria was a member of the local law enforcement community from 1983 to 2011. She served as Assistant Chief, Monroe County Probation Department. Daria specialized in the instruction of defensive tactics, baton, and firearms training.

Dave served with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office from 1973 through 1997. He served in the Jail and Police Bureaus and performed a wide variety of roles including recruit class supervisor at various times from 1980 through 1997.

He is a retired Monroe County Deputy Sheriff, a retired U.S.A.F Senior Master Sergeant and Fire Chief, a former Rush Fire District Commissioner, a Social Member and past Director of the Rush Fire Department, a Director and the Treasurer of CHS Mobile Integrated Health Care.
He is a Past President and a Past Vice-President of the MILWIT organization which is composed of active and retired members of the United States Military.
